I've got the chance of free accomodation in NZ but have always wanted to do a Lions tour before I'm past it.
I'm leaning towards the Lions trip but what do you think? |

Lions everytime!
Have started to look into the Oz trip in fact and even planned a 2 week trip (with 10 days in Oz) that takes in 3 games, inc 1 test. Involves hiring camper van and driving up the coast.
I say all this but wife knows nothing about plan and tbh I am prob too scared to mention it!! |

If I'm going to do the Lions I want to go to all 3 tests and most of the dirtracker games.
£60 a month for the next 42 months....I suppose thats possible. |

I can see that sort of trip costing more than £2520... I reckon for 5 weeks or so you are looking at least doubleon air fare, accom, match tickets, food and DRINK... |

To be fair that was just for airfare and accomodation
I'd be looking to give myself a budget of £100 a day for beer and hotdogs. |

If you're going to do a Lions trip Aus is probably the best to do, as there's more accomodation then NZ and it's a hell of a lot safer then SA.
It's all about whether you're focus is supporting your country or the social aspect which is probably better with the Lions. The way I look at it, though, is that there will always be world cups closer to home, the Lions is more of a special trip... so that is probably what I would choose. The players will be more accessible too - a lot of trips stay in the same hotels as the players... a guy on Scum V organises a trip every tour, and everyone who goes seems to have a good time. |
